After visiting Lake Eibsee it was time to make our way back to the UK - but not missing the famous Disney Neuschwanstein Castle! Neuschwanstein Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near Bavaria in Germany. Yes, this castle has featured in nearly every Disney film and is also the famous castle in the scene from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, when the car flies over the top!
The walk from the car-park to the castle is about 30 minutes, and then further from the castle to this view point is another 40 minutes.
So as you can imagine, it was HEAVING. Queues and queues of people, just to get over ONE slim bridge to get the iconic shot of the castle. However, sneaky Will and Jess managed to find this slightly hidden path before you cross the bridge, to find a whopper chopper view with no one there! As Will rightly says, "no one wants to be a sheep - follow your nose".
I used my Paradise Perfection mobile preset to this photo.
We were in the shade with loads of shadows, but I knew it would be fine once edited.
We stayed here for a few hours, enjoyed the view ate lunch and then went on with our journey home - via a mega suspension bridge called Geierlay.
