Venice, in July? Well as you can predict, it was was absolutely heaving with tourists! However, it was still beautiful and one of my favourite places I've been to (not sure Will can say the same)! Whist driving to Venice we stopped off at a large sports shop to buy some collapsible bicycles. These became our best friends for the rest of our road trip. We parked in a large paying campsite on the outside of Venice - which was 15 euros a day. This campsite had showers, loos and charging points. We would cycle from the campsite to the tram, fold our bikes and take them into the center of Venice - where we locked them up. The streets of Venice are far too narrow for bikes!
We spent 2 days in here, although I would have liked a little more time, the amount of people there were getting to us. If I am being honest, I don't really recommend going in July - take a trip in September/ October time! Althought apparently it's busy all year round.
We left Venice and headed to Slovenia which took 3h7 minutes.
